Women Empowerment e.V.

Women Empowerment e.V. is a non-profit human rights organization for disadvantaged women and children. It advocates for human rights and supports women and girls through local, national, and international networking, public relations, targeted actions, personal counseling, and the promotion of individual projects abroad.
On a local level in Dortmund, the focus is on refugee women who come to Germany due to female genital mutilation or forced marriage. The organization also assists affected individuals in transitioning to a normal daily life by connecting them with experts who are professionally qualified on psychological, physical, or social levels.
