Computacenter would like to contribute to improving the current situation of refugees.
Many speak of a crisis - but you can also see the opportunities. As you know, the Management Board (GF) and the General Works Council (GBR) have therefore agreed to support projects to promote the reception and integration of refugees with a total of €50,000. In addition, it is important to represent our Winning Together values such as "Treat people with respect" and "Think long-term" to the outside world, naturally also with reference to the refugees.
KOMM-AN NRW
The state of North Rhine-Westphalia has launched the KOMM-AN NRW program to promote the integration of refugees in local communities and strengthen civic engagement in refugee assistance.
All cities and municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia can participate in the extensive state program for 2016/2017. The main focus is on strengthening and supporting voluntary work in refugee aid - in particular by promoting arrival meeting points.

After InterStuDo e.V. in Dortmund is dissolved and no longer offers German courses, InterStuDo teachers have joined forces to form the language school Dr. Juno. Here you can learn from former InterStuDo teachers and former DSH examiners, among others. We will prepare you professionally for the DSH exam (German Language Examination for University Admission).

VENTAO e.V. (Verein entwicklungspolitischer Austauschorganisationen)
ventao and its members support the mutual exchange of people in development partnerships. They enable mutual learning and thus lay the foundation for the commitment of the participants to sustainable development.
The Association of Development Exchange Organizations e.V. (ventao), is one of six quality and interest associations of sending organizations in the weltwärts program. Weltwärts is a development policy voluntary service funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented in cooperation with 180 civil society organizations. Since its founding in 2013, 34 sending organizations from all over Germany have joined the ventao quality association, which sends and hosts nearly 600 volunteers each year. It supports its member organizations in implementing high-quality learning and exchange services for young people in the field of development cooperation while preserving the plurality of their approaches.

The Association of Cameroonian Engineers and Computer Scientists (VKII) is the world's premier technical contact for the Cameroonian Diaspora. The association has distinguished itself for more than fifteen years by developing technologically based solutions to developmental problems in Cameroon as well as abroad.
Among numerous projects, VKII e.V. as a non-profit non-political association promotes excellence within the global Cameroonian society through regular highly interesting activities such as its mentoring program, its symposium or its various seminars.
VMDO e.V.
An umbrella organization for migrant organizations, of which we have been an active member since May 19, 2016.
The Verbund sozial-kultureller Migrantenvereine Dortmund (VMDO) e.V. is an umbrella organization of more than 50 member organizations. The VMDO e.V. acts politically independent and is active across languages and religions. The association is a recognized youth welfare organization and certified educational institution. It has received several awards, including the Arnsberg District Government Integration Award. The VMDO e.V. offers numerous educational and cultural events in the "House of Diversity". There is also a children's and youth club, counseling services for seniors and refugees, and the newspaper "Echo der Vielfalt. As the operator of two transitional facilities for refugees, the association is a valued contact for the community.
Somalisch-Deutscher Verein Dortmund e.V.
The Somalisch-Deutscher Verein Dortmund e.V. consists solely of refugees. It is primarily active in child and youth work, providing them with access to language courses, adequate education, and regular participation in sports activities. Through its activities, such as women’s meetings or children’s days, the association aims to support newcomers in their integration and offer young people with a refugee background a perspective.
The goal of this association is to address the needs of these young people and help them transition into a life in our multicultural society, which is based on mutual exchange of acceptance and tolerance.

Women Empowerment e.V.
Women Empowerment e.V. is a non-profit human rights organization for disadvantaged women and children. It advocates for human rights and supports women and girls through local, national, and international networking, public relations, targeted actions, personal counseling, and the promotion of individual projects abroad.
On a local level in Dortmund, the focus is on refugee women who come to Germany due to female genital mutilation or forced marriage. The organization also assists affected individuals in transitioning to a normal daily life by connecting them with experts who are professionally qualified on psychological, physical, or social levels.
